About US
Free-Man House was founded by Troy Freeman in 2005 and started in Richardson, TX in 2006.
The conception of Free-Man House was from a vision Troy discovered while incarcerated in the Texas Department of Corrections. He saw a gap between prison life and reintegration into mainstream life. His vision included offering individuals released from prison, jail, or rehabilitation centers a stable clean environment to foster positive reintroduction into the community.
Free-Man House began with a single dwelling in Dallas in 2006, expanded to four in first quarter 2009 and has an unlimited nationwide and international vision. The Free-Man House organization is highly regarded by the probation and parole programs of Dallas, Ellis, and Collin counties of Texas.
As of 2009, FMH can accommodate up to 40 men and remains at about 98 percent occupancy year round. Troy and his wife Barbara own and operate Free-Man House in Dallas, TX.
